Trust in the generous owner of the vineyard,

for in His mercy

He invites even the lowly to the harvest.




“The owner replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Did you not agree with me to work for a denarius?  Take your pay and leave. I have chosen to pay the latecomers the same as I pay you.  Am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’  Thus, the last will be first and the first will be last.”

I took this picture from the top of Mount Willard, in Crawford Notch, New Hampshire, a couple weeks ago. just imagine standing up there, feeling the wind blow, knowing that God’s voice is not in the wind, but in the whispered silence that follows. ~ The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord , for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord , but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.     After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. Thank you Lord, for the good things. You give me a wife to adore, one filled with goodness, one who stands beside me in faith and takes my hand during every struggle. You give children who radiate the gift of your love, entrusted to parents who cherish. You give grandchildren who bring joy in these years when your grace overflows.
